Abstract

     The old city of Taiz has witnessed a number of urban, social and economic developments during the last century. These developments negatively affected its urban heritage of Islamic civilization. It is currently suffering from excessive urban growth that does not comply with its heritage value, environmental protection requirements, and tourism development. This growth led to the implementation of development policies that caused many environmental and urban problems for the city. Which imposes the necessity of preserving its heritage and its sustainability and improving its urban fabric and linking it with the modern urban fabric of the modern city of Taiz through developing it in a balanced and sustainable manner and ensuring effective control over it. As resources for more sustainable tourism development, and the official authorities are aware of the problems, challenges and priorities of development and preservation of the urban heritage environment in it. digital.
